Thank you!

A big thanks to all of those who participated in the first Bike for Mike in Watsontown this past weekend.  There have already been a few requests to do it again next year so please keep it in mind for next September.  If you participated in the event on Saturday and provided me with an email address, I will be emailing you the final results soon.

Thanks again for your support!

The bike ride is almost here!

The shirts are here and everything is almost ready.  Bike for Mike will kick off this Saturday morning.  Please come support a great cause!

The 10 mile bicycle ride starts at 9 am at the Watsontown Elementary School.  The course will consist of one big loop that goes in and around Watsontown.  There will be three water stops throughout the course.  There will also be refreshments waiting for you at the end of the bike ride.

Thanks to some of our sponsors, we will also be having a small raffle at the end of the ride.

All proceeds will go to the DJD Fight on Foundation which supports local families who are dealing with significant medical expenses.

Hope to see you Saturday!

Bike for Mike route

On map my run the route is shown only as 9.79 miles, but don't worry it will be measured out for 10 miles.

I am currently having problems getting the registration and sponsor sheet to upload onto this site, but I will do my best to have them posted soon.

Come support a great cause!

Come ride your bike for a great cause on Saturday September 4, 2010.  Pre-registration should be postmarked by August 28, 2010.  Race day registration will be open from 7:45 a.m. - 8:45 a.m.  The bike ride will begin at 9:00 a.m.

Bike for Mike is being started in memory of Michael Beaver, who passed away on May 31, 2009 of cancer. He had just turned thirty years old weeks before his death. He left behind his wife and five young children. During his illness, the DJD Fight On Foundation was able to help him and his family with some of the financial burden that was placed on them. The DJD Fight On Foundation is a local organization founded by Mindy Dull in memory of her husband Derrick, who passed away on December 6, 2008 of leukemia. All of the money that is raised through Bike for Mike will go to the DJD Fight On Foundation, which helps local families who are struggling with significant medical expenses. If you are interested in learning more about this organization, please check out djdfighton.org. Thank you for helping support a great cause!
